Meet Dan Evans

Managing Director
Robe River Kuruma
Traditional Owner
A proven grounds-maintenance specialist, Dan is the driving force behind Gardarngu, combining professional excellence with cultural care. Over more than 15 years in the industry, he’s built a reputation as a skilled and reliable professional who always takes pride in a job well done.
Before founding Gardarngu, Dan spent over a decade with a large Aboriginal-owned maintenance company. As a team leader, he became known his
focus on safety and quality, and the respect he earned from both his crew and clients. Dan has also served as a Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation Ranger, strengthening his understanding of sustainable land management and cultural heritage protection.
Dan is deeply passionate about Aboriginal leadership and the responsibility that comes with it. He believes strong leadership is built
through consistency, accountability, and showing up for people and Country over time. Through Gardarngu, Dan is committed to creating pathways for Aboriginal people to step into leadership roles, develop confidence on the ground, and lead teams with pride and integrity. For him, leadership isn’t about position or profile — it’s about setting standards, backing your people, and building something that lasts for the next generation.

Our Story

“Gardarngu” is an Yindjibarndi word meaning Bush Lolly or Tree Sap, a local delicacy business owner Dan Evans remembers collecting with Elders as a child around Roebourne, WA.
These memories represent care, nourishment, and connection to Country, the principles that shape everything that we do.

What Guides Us
